The Trois-Rivières market right now

While most of Quebec cooled in the second quarter of 2026, the Trois-Rivières area went the other way. Brokers closed 437 residential sales, up 9% year over year, driven mainly by a 12% jump within the city itself even as outlying municipalities slipped 7%. Plex transactions surged 48% to 80 sales. Active listings climbed 34% to 420 properties after years of scarcity, giving buyers more choice. Single-family home prices still rose 7%, and a typical house sold in just 21 days, seven days faster than a year earlier.

Trois-Rivières is one of only three Quebec CMAs where sales grew this quarter, alongside Saguenay and Quebec City — a sign of real, broker-relevant momentum. With roughly ≈1.15M Canadian mortgages renewing nationally in 2026, that momentum arrives alongside a wave of renewal files. Brokerages here need the processing capacity to handle rising new-purchase volume and the follow-up systems to keep renewing clients from drifting to a competitor.
